The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Abdulmageed Saleh: After reading the manifesto, I became aware that we are "Agile" by default...
Yael Kosak: (Agil Tester)
Mark Arvidson.
Ricardo Mitrano.
Joris van Zundert: (Huygens Instituut) Adapting to change, making people pivotal, applying evolutionary and itterative methodology and techniques has been more effective for me and the people I work with than any paper powered plan.
Bruno Ferrão: (Novazoo) I can't miss that way to goal faster and better.
Diego Borrelli: (Ciaopeople Social Network)
Jeff Mertens.
Gregory Kornblum: (Tensai Labs) In a world where fast paced environments seem to outweigh the other types of environments, Agile development has become the only true way to engineer and maintain software in such an environment. While it would be nice to consider the usage of design patterns, dependency injection and the likes I have not seen the time to do such things in the past 13 years of my career. I feel that the Agile methodology will be the only one in the future. For now I will continue to wait for that day.
Luís Gabriel Nascimento Simas: (Secretaria de Estado de Trabalho e Renda do Rio de Janeiro)
Adeep Taneja.
George Stephanis: (Archer Web Designs) People over Politics. About time.
Sean Klyne: (Iovate Health Sciences Inc.)
Zhang Yang.
Ryan McCann: Excellent stuff. Well written, guys!
Michael Dubakov: (TargetProcess) It is obvious that agile is approach much more efficient than traditional waterfall development. It is the best trend in software development during last 20 years for sure.
John Haber: (TigerTron Ltd)
Louis Tassé: (Eltesoft Inc.) Maximizing value is the center of projects, and it should always be. Moving toward agile is the way to go.
Ghenady Azarov: Agile software development is inevitable.
David Morris: (SOPHORUM limited) I am passionate in my support of the Agile Manifesto - for two key reasons: 1) It is the only proven approach to change that delivers something quickly; allows rapid adaptation; involves the business throughout; and best of all the more it is used the more able organisations are to adapt to change. 2) It is a vendor-independent (open source) approach that promotes discipline for rapid change (i.e. not cowboy/quick-and-dirty) and is supported by many software development and project management methodologies - including SCRUM, DSDM, Lean, XP, etc.
Matt Ryan.
Partha Chakrabarti.
Scott Motte: (Spitfire Sky) The Agile approach to software development has done me and my clients a huge service. Thank you.
Manas Ranjan Jena: (Mindtree Ltd.) I believe the 12 principles of agile are down to earth for modern software development platform in this Knowledge management era. We, in our team are adhering the almost all these principles from past 1 years and that seems to be quite fruitful. Thanks,
Domenikus di Soccavo: (Infocube) Agility is not the only truth in software development, but it adds a noteworthy flavour.
Thomas Auzinger: (ERT) We're now in the maintenance phase of a successful project that employed many agile principles, while still having some CMMish discipline. I think it's the way to go.
Jorge Vargas: (Ienjinia)
Francesco Paradiso: (Yooplus)
George Moncrief: (Raster Media) Agile methods are revolutionizing our business whereby we have happier clients while producing better software. We're on the path and not looking back to the waterfall misery!
Ivan Karpan.
adriano sbaragli: (infocube s.r.l.) we, at infocube ltd, an italy located software and consulting company, primarly appreciate this: Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.
Erwin Quinto: (neurolite technologies) George Carrette said: First learn computer science and all the theory. Next develop a programming style. Then forget all that and just hack. I say: Hack with an attitude, use agile...
vito renato previtera: (infocube) I agree
Will Sansbury: (Ipswitch, Inc.)
Kelly Arrey: (IBM z/OS XL C/C++ Compilers) This is reality-based software development.
Greg Biggers: (Ewakening) Word. Customer collaboration is a portion of the agile vision for which most of the world lacks both the skill and the tools. A good problem for us to solve.
Amol Patki.
Lenny Rachitsky: (http://www.transparentuptime.com/)
Jay Robertson: If everyone currently using waterfall-type methods took the time to understand the benefits of an agile approach....well, unfortunately that probably won't happen in my time because there would be no work left for the PRINCE2 social outcasts.
Oleg Atamanenko: (Fortess)
Eckhart Hanser: (University of Cooperative Education Baden -Wuerttemberg) Outgoing from the Agile Maifesto I developed the Meta Agile Process Model (MAP).
Haydée Heded: (Technisys)
Isaac Inkumsah: (Origo Software) Origo Software is a thought leader in the provision of software and other technology solutions to clients and counterparts using Agile methodologies and approaches that put the needs of the customer solution first.
Sunjay Pandey: (ALTERthought) Agilists evangelize. Pragmatism and results are the heart of the Agile Manifesto. To quote, the great community organizer, Saul Alinsky, "As an organizer I start from where the world is, as it is, not as I would like it to be." This crystalizes the great power of the Agile Approach.
Shelley Shyan: (PHP Architecture) Once learned, benefit ever...
David Clay Casey.
Jo York: (Ki Media) The agile method is the only way we've found to create online functionality that meets both users and owners expectations.
Etienne Grosse: I don't know what can be more efficient than this method for keeping a project attractive for the customer and the developers ! I always worked like that and nobody ever told me that my work was bad : only good recognition. Keep supporting Agile !
Mitko Kostov: (7Thoughts Inc.)
