The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Jamie Stowermark: (Stow & Black LLP) A great approach. I do not choose to administer any method religiously, it depends upon the I.T. project. However, the concept of trust and open collaborative communication alone are enough to give the agile approach merit and a seat at the top table.

Nestor Urquiza: (http://www.nestorurquiza.com/) The Agile Manifesto has represented for me the corroboration of the validity of the words that I have followed in my career as an Electronics Engineer, Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Architect, Manager and more. "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not one bit simpler". Albert Einstein

Jayanthi Krishnan: (Intuit) The manifesto targets a change in the most powerful & durable tool we possess as humans - the mind. Four simple sentences, yet once adopted, is habit forming because it brings “value to the recipient” to the forefront. And you cannot fathom going back to the old way of thinking.

Liliana Peter: I truly believe Agile manifesto and principles bring the good change in the way we all percieve and do our work day by day and they really serve customer's interests. For me, they also represent a professional code of honor to myself, my team and my customers. I work in a multi-national corporation and there there are many organizational and mentality obstacles to overcome every day to implement Agile. But what is beyond any doubt is that the value added on the product has rapidly grown and the team fully benefits of this way of working, it really enabling them to grow professionally and empowering them to assume the responsability for their work.

Max V Azemard: In a world where change is the only certainty, we must be agile in our practice to not only finish out projects on time and within budget, but to deliver a state of the art product or service.
TAZEROUALTI: (Software Team Manager)
Michael Zippe: "It's not the strongest species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change", Charles Darwin. That's why we should open our minds to react fast to continously changing preferences; in large scales as well as in small ones. Agile software development is a good way to do this.
