The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Salvador Juan Martínez: (Freelancer) I used to participate in waterfall projects, and when changes came, had to throw the plans that were made to the garbage and make new plans. The amount of wasted work was really scary. Recenctly i stumbled upon agile philosophy, and adapting to the new way of thinking is hard, but so far, the effort is paying off the time spent on it. There is still a long road untill i can consider myself a really agile developer, but now i'm really starting to feel proud of the software i produce.
