Independent Signatories of
The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Roberto Abreu: (PUCMM) Agile is THE way to go for most of the Software written today worldwide. The success of any Software project lies almost exclusively on the people. Agile was wisely built around this knowledge. The result? Shorter time-to-market cycles, faster and more accurate response to change, happier and more engaged customers. We must support Agile.
John Wells: (OSU) My first reaction upon reading the Agile Manifesto is bit of nostalgia. Nostalgia because I spent considerable effort trying to convince others that these were good ideas and I wish I had insisted a little more that they be put into practice, and paid attention. These have been my principles and they embody my focus as I have developed systems and software for over twenty years. Especially noteworthy to me are the points that software requirements may change, even late in the development process, and that business people and developers must work together. If these principles had been adopted and practiced, in my opinion, much time, effort, agony, suffering, and money could have been better utilized, reduced, avoided, also avoided, and saved. Money could have been made. Startups could have been sustained.
Keith Bawden: The best approach I have found, but you really need your business partners to buy into it (true for any approach really).
