Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Alcides Silva: I agree with all of these principles, and I'm an "early adopter" of them long time ago, since the beginning of my career, in the 1980's. Some of these Principles are common sense, the participation of the Client, side by side with the developers was always that a lot of programmers saw, something obvious, but we had to wait until this awakening, congratulations to the authors and the others signatories.
Zulfikarali Barodawala: Collaboration with customers and stakeholders and the interactions between the individuals are so important to develop a world class software product. Variable Scope and Fixed Time Frame - provides more value to the end user.

Thanks to my friend Laurent LA RIZZA (and the authors) for sharing it with me =o) Keil Wilson: (PMLNK) Collaborative teams of developers and customers can achieve great things. The foundation of collaboration is communication. The Agile Manifesto and Agile Principles are not a prescriptive process for managing projects, but instead serve as a vision or framework around which teams build their own development or project management processes. The genius of Agile Alliance was to recognize that, while each project and project team faces different challenges, this collaborative philosophy can help focus a team's approach, resulting in more effective, productive project efforts.

James Arthur Cattell: (Government Digital Service) I've only been working in an agile environment for 18 months, but I hope never to go back to the other methods for delivering digital products. Carrying an emergency agile kit (pens, cards, post-its) has helped capture user stories, both in and outside work. I love this way of working, and I want to learn more.
