Independent Signatories of
The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Roberto Soto: (Mindtree) The Agile Manifesto is crucial to companies who are looking to improve and design better products. I have work closely with many companies that embark in expedition to consolidate development to department to achieve savings, thus cementing themselves in a cycle that prevent creativity and innovation. Embracing agile leads to better software, greater flexibility, and measurable innovation, faster.
Carl Domingue: (DsixE Inc) This manifesto makes me realize there are people out there who get it! In some ways software development is an art form.
Michael Sparks: There's agreeing with the principles in the agile manifesto, and then there's getting it viscerally. For example, if your back is up against the wall to deliver, and you're faced with someone who values the right over the left, you need to operate on the basis of left over right - or else you *can't* deliver. It's at that point you really get it viscerally I think.
