The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Catrina Cruickshank: Being able to deliver solutions in flexible and adaptable ways implies the need for agility. Adopting these approaches is crucial for organisations to advance accelerated delivery for business value. This approach and buying into the manifesto is both important to the technical community and to all the surrounding dependent communities. The Agile approach empowers people to levels which are often stifled by misunderstandings about the capability of the team to deliver successfully.

Timo Balz: (KiBaSoft) For me personally, is the agile Manifesto the most important (r)evolution the last years, because it is able to change the whole human being. It changes everything away from bureaucracy to an intelligent way to invent something new, only with confidence, cooperation and the focus to the right issue at the right time. This is the first step away from extravagant expenses to wisdomness and serenity. Thanks to all, for this view of the future.
