The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Anthony Louws: (Microbais) Yes, Agile Development works, but it will cost time to get your team focussed on the right things. Yes, Agility is a way of life, but that also means that you need highly flexible people. Don’t ask the Spanish to be exactly on time and don’t ask the Dutch to have diner at 10 pm. Changing a way of life is not as easy as it looks. We have a really successful agile team now, working on our newest products, but it lasted over half a year to get there. My advice is: first get the right people and then start thinking about doing agile. Not the other way around.
srinivas kaveti: (Dell Inc) I support the Agile
Ajay Goel: (RMSI Pvt. Ltd.) AGILE is the demand of hour in the competitive and service oriented environment, as everybody is looking for not just the solutions to the problems or needs but also understands and feels them as the work progress and implements the best possible solution. AGILE is one technique which helps brining the two parties closer and results in a collaborative work force.

Laurie Johnson: (Standard Life of Canada) Agile Development is a long time in coming !! It is the first truly inspirational methodology that has been adopted by the company in the 33 years that I have worked there !! I am a complete supporter of what I view as an "outside of the box" results oriented model !!
Etienne Savard: (http://www.symbiosoft.net)
Claudia Brice: (Sungard Higher Education) I love to come to work with people who can think outside the box, who are willing to collaborate. Agile changes the quality of software and has the potential to elevate the skills of those involved. Seeing a team grow together, experience a triumph, accomplish things that others didn't think possible... those things make my day and I want to come back for more!
