Independent Signatories of
The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Fahd Murtaza: (http://www.fahdmurtaza.com) I am working as a software developer and my job description is "PHP Application Developer". So I build software for the web. I find the Agile Methodologies best for web development. The fact that web development teams are usually small, Agile Practices suit best to the needs of Web development. With the tools like SVN and Trac, Agile Development Process is becoming easily adaptable and it really matches the way a programmer wants to work. To me, its the best way to do software development. Besides I am writing a book on Agile Development Process and how it can be used in web development. The book is specific about PHP application development but focuses on Version Control and Agile Development Methodologies and how they link together.
Gabriel Cristescu: (R&B Software Testing )
Don Burks: (RiverStyx) You don't need to change people's minds ABOUT software development. You need to change people's minds WHEN developing software. The Agile Manifesto accomplishes that fundamental shift which is necessary for true success.
Malcolm Currie: Systems and Software Engineer…….. A note on signing the Manifesto: Better late than never. I do not know why I did not do this before - the principles are sound and I subscribe to and practice them when the opportunity arises.

Bas Zurburg: (Atradius) At the company I work for, we had to build a new intranet in limited time and with limited budget. We had a small but very senior team. And we had to organize oursevles. It is remarkable that the project structure we set up had adopted all the priciples of the Agile Manifesto. Definitely my choice in equal scenarios!
Mary Brennan: (Pramerica Financial)
Dawn Harding: (Liberty Mutual ) A common sense framework - brilliant!
Shawn Stratton: (mFace Solutions, LLC)
Joey Robichaux: I've always called this "small bites". Effect system development MUST acknowledge that everything (EVERYTHING) changes. Requirements, business functions, business requirements, technology, skills, etc ... all this changes during the life of a project. If you do not acknowledge and accept this, you are doomed to create a flawed and obselete product. Developing systems is not like picking all the apples off a tree. It's more like trying to catch all the fish in a swiftly moving school -- one fish at a time.

In a software testing perspective, Agile Methodology is a big challenge for us. But with close collaboration from group like this, we are sure that we can surpass this challenges.
lebogang nkoane: (2LMN Research + Development) I support the principles of Agile Software Development specifically in the field of rich web applications --- besides, design and development of a web site/application follows the simple: code; save; preview (rinse and repeat). In my opinion there is no other way (or rather more efficient) to develop for web applications without using the Agile Software Development principles.
Raphael : (Payrollguru, Inc.) Agile Development is the modern way of speedy application development. The principles work great for developing services and applications in fast paced environment.
Frédérick Dubois: (DuProprio.com) La réponse à 99% de nos problèmes de développement!
Saqib: (Agile Intellects)
Ben Verkroost: (http://www.linkedin.com/in/benverkroost) I Agree to the Agile Manifesto. I am finalizing a research for a company to adopt and use a software development method. They already work in an agile way but not according to any standard method, now they need to adopt a development method. I am helping them to be able to make a responsible choice. The Manifesto has been an important and inspiring part of my research!
zhongdaiqi: (Microidea) Agile methodogies enhance power
Christopher Stuss: (APublishingCompany) The visibility that is inherent in Agile is almost therapeutic, to both developer and client, when compared to the 'over-the-wall' development paradigm.
