The Manifesto for Agile Software Development

We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:
  • Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
  • Working software over comprehensive documentation
  • Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
  • Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Mike Finney: (Unemployed) Although I have not actually used the Agile software development process it self I SUPPORT the concept. I ran a project 2 years ago where I was delivering new code and functionality every week. The team took a back log of over 300 "user stories" and in 10 months we were down to 15.
Ray Wang: (NAIT) I Support the Agile Manifesto!

Darrin Dykstra: I am a believer in the philosophy that is simply stated in the Agile Manifesto. Adhering to these simple principles will lead to great success given the following attributes of those involved: - Willing participants - Motivated contributors - Support and most importantly TRUST from the leadership team / stakeholders

Hamsa Murugesan: After adapting to Scrum practices back in 2005 from the traditional waterfall, we have truly felt the light in the way we do things. The basic principle of keeping it simple and having the focus on the teamwork, helped us get through the challenges much efficiently than before. Thanks to all the great minds who envisioned Agile priniciples and making it true.

That's my view on truly great software, lots of little iterations towards it. Therefore I support the Agile Manifesto with every sinue and keep taking those small steps every day.

Field Searcy: (SB Technology, LLC) Agile development methodologies are the best way to bring applications to market quickly. This in turn allows stakeholders the ability to gather feedback from end users and bring them into the process of delivering the next generation of the application. At SB Technology, we use local project managers and architects along with offshore developers to deliver web applications at 25-50% less cost than other methods. Contact us to find out more about our successful techniques.
