We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

John Mallory: As an IT Project Manager, I have found the agile approach to be the only approach that is aligned with reality and adequately accounts for the complexities, imperfections, and caprice that is the human element.
Stephen Riley: As a PMI Certfied Project Manager, I have come to realize that Agile principles deliver better results in innovative, software development type projects. The teams who work in this way are also happier and more challenged, resulting in better quality, and an organization that manages its knowledge better. PMBOK principles are still valuable in managing the environment the project lives in, so the ideal is the best of both worlds.

Why the person/resource doing same kind of works ? 3. Who knows today's output ? 4. How much time it will take to complete this task ? 5. Who is my client ? These are all few imp points only.
Richard Gaskin: (Fourth World) Through adoption of agile practices we're coordinating our teams better, producing more visible results for owners, and most importantly putting features in customers' hands faster. The transition required some new forms of self-discipline for all of us to adopt, but the payoff has ultimately delivered more freedom and flexibility in how we pursue product growth.

My only suggestion is that I would replace the word "software" with "product", since the same principles are applicable to nearly all forms of product development. (This includes internal work products that are consumed by internal customers of an organization).
