That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Any software development that does not have an eye to change will ultimately fail because change is not a variable; it is a constant.

Jens Dykow: The Manifesto shows an understanding of human nature that no-one had the courage to express in this way before. Men are neither machines nor omnicogniscent, and accepting this and finding ways to embrace this is the key to success.

Customer delivery is paramount, others may keep their strict processes and procedures, but the bottom line is give the clients what they want, and need in a timely fashion and be in a position to turn on a dime to welcome change.
Prasenjit Singh Bist: (Capgemini Consulting) For me its the best way to interact with and support a client in complex SAP implementation projects. The client always have a small but working software module at regular periods and those mile stones are pretty amazing and more satisfying to a enduser.

It clearly aligns with best practices in customer focus and involvement, employee engagement, product focus, organisational response to change, while not being prescriptive. This approach to software development works well with the PRINCE2 approach to project management when well tailored, and stakeholder management. I highly recommend these principles to be embedded into the approach taken for any SDLC.
