We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools
Working software over comprehensive documentation
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation
Responding to change over following a plan

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Nishant Kumar: (TCS) Each word in agile manifesto has got deep meaning.I moved from waterfall methodology to scrum methodology and have seen the change in the culture and improving the value delivered. Scrum Methodology emphasizes communication and collaboration, functional software, and the agility to adapt to emerging business realities and quick to market aspect — all these attributes that suffer in the rigidly ordered waterfall methodology. I support the Agile Manifesto.
Don Johnson: As an experienced software development manager I've seen how difficult it is to completely capture AND BE POISED TO ADDRESS all system requirements and artifacts at the beginning. These principles help create an environment where that a priori info isn't an impediment to success.
